Word Meaning
Grammar: word; verb;(1) Opening something.
(2) The action of conquering a town or nation - conquest. When Prophet Muhammed (SAW) first tried to peacefully return to his home town, Makkah, the pagans of Makkah denied him entry and forbade the Muslims to perform the pilgrimage to the Kaaba. Instead of fighting a war the prophet chose to enter into a treaty with them (the treaty of Hudaybiyyah) which would allow the Muslims to do the pilgrimage the following year and guarantee that normal Muslim civilians were not harmed or killed. The pagans later broke the treaty by continuing to provoke and harm Muslims and when they murdered a group of Muslims the Prophet marched his large army into Makkah. The Makkans decided it was better to surrender than to fight and the Prophet peacefully conquered Makkah. This is known as Fatih Makkah.
