Word Meaning
Grammar: English word; verb;(1) To Salli (verb), (do salat) - This is the ritual prayer of the Muslims which must be done 5 times a day.
(2) To ad'i (verb), (do Dua) - This is a supplication to God where a Muslim asks God for something or repents for sins. Hands are open palm-up and (sometimes) raised in this prayer.The verb form of these words are rarely used in English Islamic literature due to the spelling and the fact that most non-Arabic speaking Muslims know these prayer types by their noun forms.
